After many Prototypes my balloon jet car has finally reached 7.95 meters. A balloon jet car is a project we are doing in Science using 2 straws, a cork stick, 4 lifesavers, and a notecard. Our goal in this project is to make the car go a certain distance! Although I got to my goal, it took a lot of persistence to get to this point. In all I created about four balloon jet cars, and not until the last one did it finally work. The first two balloon jet cars failed to even move... The wheels were to close to the tape and could not move. The third Jet Car was 'getting there' it moved but not enough to reach my goal. When making my last and final Jet car, I knew I had to change something. I decided to change the tape on the straw to a stick a tiny piece of the cork stick through the straw. I put that by each wheel so that the tape would not weigh the car down. Even though I am satisfied with my progress, I plan to not stop there! I enjoy challenges and having the chance to achieve them! :)
